As for the year, I loved 500 Days of Summer, Star Trek, Whip It and Up. The movies I enjoy most are the ones that make me laugh and cry and all of these did it for me.

Hope you're enjoying the holidays! I had a nice mellow, relaxing few days with my family. I took a break from my shop and let myself get a little more disconnected with things than I have in awhile. I had to go back to work today but I am somehow back in chill out mood tonight. It's great! I'm looking forward to another long weekend coming up with not a whole lot on the agenda. We probably won't do much but a family movie night on New Year's eve but I'm looking forward to it for sure!
I do want to share one fun bit of news with you. I'm featured along with 2 other local artists in an article called "crafting a business on etsy" in January's issue of Wisconsin Woman magazine. You can read it online HERE (link will be on the left of their home page) or pick it up at several local grocery stores/gas stations/libraries in the Madison area. Very fun!
Well, I am off for a night of chutes & ladders and brownies & ice cream. Enjoy your week!

things to do in Madison this weekend!
On Saturday December 12 from 10am-5pm, Buy Handmade for the Holidays at PointyKitty Studios on the northeast side of Madison where more than a dozen Wisconsin artists will be showcasing their handmade goodies. We'll be there with lots of fun items and will be having a $2 card sale as well. ALL of our screen printed and one of a kind cards will be just $2/each! Click the link above for more details on the show!
Saturday night don't miss the Found Footage Festival at the Orpheum. It's a super fun event showcasing clips of found video footage. I went to this event several years back and it was a blast. HILARIOUS and awesome. DO NOT MISS. December 12 at 7pm and 9pm.
And if you're feeling crafty stop by Anthology on State Street for a craftivity! They have several different craft projects you can drop in and enjoy and they change up the activities almost weekly. This week you can stop in to make your own stamped charm necklace or paper stars. Click above to learn more! I was in with a group of friends to make stamped pendants last night and had a great time! Take a break while you're out shopping this weekend and make time to make!
Enjoy your weekend and stay warm!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Craftacular last weekend! It was a really fantastic show. I spent the day with my fabulous sister-in-law and since it was busy almost the whole day, I really don't know what I would have done without her. Thanks Elizabeth! A big thanks also goes out to Laura and Sachi at Anthology and Naomi and Jerome at Glitter Workshop for organizing this awesome event. What a fun day! And thanks to everyone who stopped by our table to visit! It was great to see some familiar faces and meet lots of new people, too!
Our next show will be on December 12 at PointyKitty Studios on the northeast side of Madison. The show is called Buy Handmade for the Holidays and features more than a dozen artists. If you're in the Madison area please stop by!
I have been under the weather this week and haven't had time to do much of anything. I am focusing on keeping up with orders in my etsy shop but hope to make at least a few new things before next week's show. Our womens' owls in love & raining in my heart shirts were popular at the craftacular and I wish I had time to make more of those! I might just have to wait until after the holidays, though. Boo!
Hope you are having a magical holiday season! Enjoy the snow!
