raining in my heart, cuteable + a miracle.

Check out one of our newest designs.

Chad named it "raining in my heart." We are planning to make t-shirts with this image on pale blue with our brand new screen printing equipment. I'm kind of scared to give it a go. But as soon as we can block off a few hours we're just going to do it. In the meantime, we're offering this super mod cutie on magnets in magenta or deep blue in our etsy shop. You can get a closer look HERE.

Our "owl be yours" button was featured on cuteable today along with some other great cuteable finds. What a nice surprise!

In other news, both of my kids slept in their OWN beds in their OWN rooms last night. Like, pretty much the whole night. This may sound trivial to you but I have to tell you that this is really very amazing. A miracle. I'm hoping tonight goes just as well.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Chad made me this sweet valentine. I melted.

He also surprised me with a lovely necklace from hollygems

We're taking the kids out to breakfast in a bit. We're going to a local restaurant that has amazing chocolate crepes. I think Valentine's day is a perfectly acceptable occasion to have chocolate crepes for breakfast, right? Yum!

Have a great day!

Winner, Supply Shopping, Press.

First of all…the 1000 hearts giveaway winner is...drumroll...

Emily!

Thanks to everyone who left comments and kind words on the giveaway post. I really appreciate it. I was a little lazy with choosing a winner this time - intstead of pulling a name from a hat I used random.org. It chose lucky number eight.

So there you have it. Congrats, Emily! You've won this raining hearts card, your choice from my shop.

It's been a busy week at work and I haven't had much time for crafting. I did order button supplies and a starter kit full of everything I'll need to start traditional screen printing (right now I use a gocco for everything.) I'm super excited and already have my first project planned. I can't wait to get started so I can show you our first shirts and more than likely the trial and error that will go along with learning a new craft. More on that coming soon!

One last thing before I sign off for the weekend - I have a couple of fun press things to share with you.

Today I was featured on the Wisconsin State Journal mom@life blog. The article is about our etsy shop, shopping handmade/local and finding balance between crafting and motherhood. You can check it out HERE

There is also a shout out in this article on the thedailypage from earlier this week. It's an article about shopping local in Madison for valentine's day and features several local etsy sellers who sell their wares at local shops.

Handmade Nation Milwaukee Premiere

The Handmade Nation Premiere is tonight! Unfortunately I am not going to be one of lucky people in the crowd tonight, boo! I am hoping the movie makes its way to the Madison Film Festival in March...or...I guess I just need to be patient.

Not easy. I'm super excited about this film.

If you're near Milwaukee tonight don't miss this!!

Thank God it's Monday.

I had an absolutely insane week followed by a sort of mellow Sunday. We had some friends over Sunday just to hang out and catch up. We never see them so it was really nice. The kids never know what to do when we have guests. They pretty much just want to give hugs and crawl all over any person who walks through our front door. It's funny, sort of.

Chad has been working on some artwork for a role play game rule book called Swords & Wizardry. His illustrations are pretty awesome and I think it's exciting that he will have some of his work in print. The book is available HERE.

Well it's February, the longest short month of the year. To all of you enduring the cold and snow along with me - hang in there. Spring has to come eventually, right?
