My brother is moving to New Orleans next week. It's been a long time coming but it still seems surreal. I'm going to miss him so much!

His band, Straight to Your Brain, played their last show on Saturday night. It was a totally fun show. I don't get out much these days so being out anyplace was nice to begin with. The fact that all of the bands were super fun to watch and the whole night was kind of a big last hurrah for my brother made it even better.

The bassist smashed up his bass guitar at the end of the set and my brother's bass drum was a casualty of the destruction. Holycrap!

It's finally spring-like! I took my kids to see the in-laws this weekend and we had such a nice time walking and playing at the park. Thank goodness for spring. Everything is better when there's a little sunshine.

Yesterday I whipped up the frame pictured above. I like how it turned out. I want to make a bunch more. But I should probably catch up on laundry.

We've finally made a decision!

Austin it is.

We talked with our landlord and he's getting back to us about our current lease asap. It looks like we'll be moving by fall, possibly sooner.

I am working wacky long shifts at work through Wednesday and then I have four days off. I have no idea what I'm going to do and I can't wait! I wanted to try to visit my friend Jessi in New Mexico but I couldn't find a decent price for airfare so last minute. Boo!

Chad and I are still toying with moving SOON. Right now we are all about Austin. Our landlord is letting us extend our lease for a couple of extra months so we can figure it all out.

The magnets pictured above are new! I am into dotty patterns lately. And black and pink. And orange. And birds. This magnet set makes me happy.
