Valentine Craftacular!

I have had a busy couple of months and plan to check in with an update and photos soon so you can see some of the new things I've been making! But first, I want to tell you about my first craft show of 2012! 

The Bookish Life will be participating in the Valentine Craftacular on February 4th at the East Side Club in Madison, WI. There will be around 50 artists and crafters, a photo booth and a make & take craft table. Fun for the whole family! Admission is free and the first 50 shoppers will get a free tote bag stuffed with goodies from the vendors.

1000 etsy sales + autumn love + giveaway!

I love autumn. I adore the leaves crunching under my feet, the chilly nights, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, scarves, fabulous produce and everything else that comes along with it.

Last week on the first day of autumn,  Space Oddities reached 1000 sales in our etsy shop! We are having a giveaway to celebrate. Super Secret Geek.Kon Post II

Geek.Kon is a mere week away and you should be excited! The lineup is coming together and it includes awesome sci-fi and anime viewings, lots of special guests, panelists, artists, vendors and a ROCKBAND competition to name a few highlights.

And it's FREE?!

Will you be there? You would pretty much be crazy not to be there. The level of awesomeness is just too severe.

Shows to apply for! Contests to win!

A couple of things you should know about!

First, before you do anything else, go to Christopher and Tia's blog for a chance to win a set of my French Text Revamped notecards! I believe you have through Wednesday but hey, why wait.

Next, there are fantastic craft shows coming up in Wisconsin this winter and it's time to apply!

Glitter Workshop is now taking applications for the Winter Craftacular on December 6th. It's at a new location, downtown Madison at the Masonic center. For more info and to apply for this awesome show click HERE.

And if you're a member of the WIST (Wisconsin Etsy Street Team,) it's time to apply for our second annual WIST Holiday Trunk show at Lazy Jane's in Madison. For more info and to apply for this event, click HERE.

GEEK.KON is coming!

Geek.kon is only a few weeks away! If you're near Madison, register now for this FREE two-day event (September 28 & 29) featuring "all things geek." Check out the geek.kon website to find a list of artists and vendors that will be attending (including Space Oddities!) Some of the special guests have also been announced and the panelists are soon to follow.

Geek.kon 2008

I just got word that I'll be vending at Geek.Kon 2008! I'm thrilled to have snagged a spot for year two of this convention after it's awesome first year success in 2007. What is geek.kon, you ask? It's a 2 day convention in Madison, Wisconsin featuring "all things geek." It's a FREE event so if you're into sci-fi, anime, gaming, or anything else one might consider geeky, don't miss out! Last year's con drew nearly 2000 attendees and even managed to appear on CNN. How cool is that?!

This year I plan to bring pins, magnets and note cards featuring images saved from damaged comic books, screen printed shirts and cards with fun original images (think robots and unicorns!) and lots of other Space Oddities goodies! I'm hoping that Chad will be able to take the weekend off to vend with me, but even if he can't I will definitely bring along some of his awesome goodies.

This year's con is on September 27 & 28.
